Ecclesiastes 5: 1-7

“Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.  Do not be rash with your mouth, and le not your heart utter anything hastily before God.  For God is in heaven, and you on earth; therefore let your words be few.  For a dream comes through much activity, and a fool’s voice is known by his many words.  When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it; for He has no pleasure in fools.  Pay what you have vowed- better not to vow than to vow and not pay.  Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error.  Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands?  For int he multitude of dreams and many words there is also vanity.  But fear God.”

“Look, a lot of different people do different surprises in different ways,” Moose says and looks between the bots.  “I just, you know, don’t do surprises.  Not well, at all.”

Art-bot’s head tilts to the side.  Q-bot’s optics pulse twice, rapid fire.  Art-bot blinks once.  Q-bot flashes a brief holographic projection from her palm that reads: “CLARITY: PREFERRED.”

“I know, I know, but there are some people who get upset because people do different surprises in different ways.”  Moose wrinkles his nose.  “Look.  Not important.  Point is fruit.”  He flips on some music.  “I don’t normally bother you two with the mix, but I think it’s time.”

Ephesians 5: 15-21

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the Will of the Lord is.  And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father Rin the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God.”
