[Truth]

Hebrews 4: 1-11

“Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.  For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.  For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: ‘So I share in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest,’ although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.  Foro He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: ‘And God rested on the seventh day from all His Works’ and again in this place: ‘They shall not enter My rest.’  Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, again He designates a certain day, saying in David, ‘Today,’ after such a long time, as it has been said: ‘Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.’  For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.  There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.  For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.  Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according tot he same example of disobedience.”

“Not too many know who I am around here yet,” Moose says to the bots as their armor comes out.  The streets of the First Last Stop are quiet, but life is beginning to show itself.  Security guards are waking up and taking a walk, attendants are gearing down, closing up their shift, just in time for the sunrise dawning technicolor over the horizon.  Moose pulls his hat brim low.

“So far I’ve only walked out the west.  Soon we’ll make our ways south.  Some people shutter up for winter.  We keep working.  Or not working as the case may be.  Ceasing from our own works at least.”  Moose wrinkles his nose.  “Q-bot, open the coms to the crew.  I’m guessing they are just getting up about this time.”

Q-bot salutes.  Her gears turn, snapping into action.  A small satellite dish  on the end of a mechanical arm shoot from her back.  The bot turns a palm up to the sky and the word ‘Ready!’ Appears in holographic precision.

“Crew.  The key to the rest of God is in laying down your own work.  Now.  That does not necessarily mean you quiet your job.  Paul stayed a tent maker and worked as a tentmaker while he Worked.  It does, however, mean that one needs to turn that work over to Jesus to do with as He sees fit.  That is between you and Jesus.  Some people could be meant to stay where they are and minister to who they are around, but just remember.  Jesus first.  You will be blessed if you lose your job in the Name of Jesus.  It might not look easy at first, but look at Dr. Frank Turek.  He lost his job for Jesus and look what happened.”  Moose nods and motions for Q-bot to send the message.

“Ok, you two.  Let’s get focused.”

Hebrews 4: 12-13

“For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even tot he division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
