It is a new Earth year.
The CS02 rockets through deep space, accelerating hard as the engines drive her forward. She doesn’t glide—she pushes, hauling mass and momentum with practiced force. Stars stretch into long white lines ahead of her nose as speed builds, the dark steel hull holding steady, dull and work-worn.
The engines burn hotter.
Faster.
Stars blur, streak, then begin to vanish altogether as target speed is reached. The universe thins, collapses into motion, and disappears.
